I'm your host Matt Carter, and today we'll spend the whole episode with Brandon Eble.

We're fresh off our trip from Furnace Fest, and I wanted to have him here in my basement in person to get his reflections quick after the trip.

But I think it'll give you some good insight into Brandon, and you'll enjoy it,

and you're just going to have to deal with people talking about Furnace Fest for a while because it really was awesome. The trip was amazing. Label Fest sold out on Thursday night, as did the Norma Jean Show and the Zeyo shows, which were walking distance away. All the bands are great. We got great footage from that that I can't wait to share with labeled and everybody

else. We've got some audio too, so we're going to be able to make some great stuff out of that

whole trip. Label Fest was awesome, so thank you everybody for that. So the overwhelming takeaway

from the whole Furnace Fest experience for me is just the way and the potential for these communities

to overlap and interact instead of being individual echo chambers.

That's something that the label group is already really great at.

You have fans of tons of different bands interacting in one group.

So that whole thing is really, really great.

The musicianship we saw, the performances from these bands were just outstanding, top-notch,

and there was a ton of mutual respect for everybody all the way around.

The most special part of the fest to me was Beloved Set is now my top musical experience

and knocks off my previous experience I've talked about on this podcast a bunch of times of being in the

mosh pit for self-minded 20 years ago at the solid state fest just before we started

Emory so to have that journey all the way from there to be here now and to be part of the

scene and telling its stories it's been really special so it's just a great time for that

especially when the mainstream culture is looking you know worse so it's just a great time for that, especially when the mainstream
