thrust into existence by random chance with no hints at all as to how we're supposed

to make sense of it all. It's immensely bizarre. Here we are.

Hello everybody and welcome to the Here We Are podcast. I'm very excited to talk with

my guest today, Janita, Haji Abditch. Gary is joining me for the second time because

we've recorded once before and where were you? Your back porch or something like that at

home, right? I was at home and I promised. I've never had those issues before.

And something happened. Well, I was using a different system and whatever it was between

the two of us. Oh my gosh. I was going to try to make it work and stitch it together.

But it was going to take my editor like two full days, correct all of the issues that

we had. And so Janita was kind enough to find time to come back on this show to have

this wonderful conversation. I'll just, I'm going to do it in kind of a little bit slightly

reverse order. I want to give like a little bit of a spoiler toward the end because I

thought one of the really cool, interesting things about our conversation. And there

was a bunch of cool things that we're going to be talking about, very fascinating research

that you do. But one of the really interesting things was we took a simple act of, hey,

this is why you shouldn't, if you're out camping and you're going out of state or whatever,

you shouldn't take firewood from where you're at. You've got a whole big three chords

of firewood. You got a big deal on it. And now you want to take that firewood 200 miles

away and go camping. And, and, and the campground says, hey, use local firewood only. And you

might be like, well, what, what the heck is the difference? And we kind of broke down

some of the intricacies of why that's a thing. Why that's something that we need to be mindful
