I am kind of snaking through on a host that we don't have any weather interruptions.

We've got storms just raging through here right now.

But the winds died down and lights haven't even flickered yet, so hopefully we don't end up with a disruption.

Because I'm excited about this interview.

There is few things in the world to get me more excited than really awesome mushrooms in

many ways, whether it's part of the ecology or going in my belly.

I grew up in the northeastern United States, specifically Pennsylvania, and the thought

of him actually having to any way cultivate mushrooms there was kind of crazy.

They were just everywhere if you knew where to forage for them.

And now I live in Texas in an area that's actually a lot like the Northeast for part of the year

and a lot like the Arizona Desert for another part of the year.

So it's a little more difficult.

But I've been using mushrooms in my composting for a very long time as a finishing agent for

my bioreactor compost, which takes a full year to complete, specifically kingstrophoria and

oysters.

But I found some things on our guest's website that are going to lead me to some other questions

about maybe even though those are great for the garden, maybe I should be using something different.

And we'll do all on this journey of discovery together.
