Hours after Israeli troops ended their raid on the Janine refugee camp,

the first funerals have been held for the 12 Palestinians killed.

Mourners reportedly refuse to allow leaders from the Palestinian Authority to attend,

out of anger, at their perceived failure to help during the offensive.

The two-day raid, the biggest in the occupied West Bank for years,

involved more than 1000 Israeli troops as well as drones,

airstrikes on densely populated areas,

and armored bulldozers ripping up streets.

One Israeli soldier was killed.

Israel said the raid was intended to target militants behind a recent surge in terror attacks.
