Summary

An orphaned Fundevogel is taken in by a kind forester and his daughter. As the children grow, the two become best friends. But one day, when they learn the wicked cook plans to do away with him, the children must find a way to outsmart her.

Good evening, children. It's Granny McDuff, ready with a story. So make yourselves comfy, and I'll begin.

Once upon a time, there once was a man who lived in the forest. He was a forester.
