In today's prayer, I'm going to lead us in a time of communion.

This is a spiritual practice that Jesus followers have been doing for over 2,000 years.

So if you're able, you can pause this for a moment, go get some bread or a cracker, also some juice or some wine or water.

Listen to the words, 1 Corinthians. Chapter 10, verse 16.

When we bless the cup at the Lord's table, aren't we sharing in the blood of Christ?

When we break the bread, aren't we sharing in the blood of Christ? When we break the bread, aren't we sharing in the body of Christ? Before taking communion and praying together, I want you to think about

what specifically Jesus has saved you from. Don't just say sin or my old self.

I want you to personalize it.

Think about the things he's forgiven you for.

Think about what he's set you free from.

Now let's pray from a humble and honest place and just say thanks.

Jesus, wow, I'm amazed at all you've done.

Thank you for all you have saved and rescued and healed and forgiven.

I don't deserve any of it.

But your love for me is what compelled you to go to the cross.

So I say thank you.

Thank you for your death your resurrection Jesus

for taking on all my sins

and paying the price

that as you hold that bread or that cracker

I want you to break it in half before you eat it Now as you hold that bread or that cracker,
