Hello, thank you for joining me today for Give Him 15.

The title of today's post is fully assured.

As we mature in our walk with God, we grow in our ability to maintain faith in the midst of difficulties.

Psalm 112, verse 7 tells us the person who walks with God,

quote, will not fear evil tidings, his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord, end quote.

Paul said in 2nd Corinthians 4, 7 through 9,

we have this treasure in earthen vessels

so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God,

not from ourselves.

We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed, perplexed, but not despairing,

persecuted, but not forsaken, struck down, but not destroyed. In today's post, I'm going to say some sobering things regarding America's current state of affairs.

As these verses tell us, don't allow the facts to discourage you.

It is possible to experience grief, anger, and other emotions without them affecting our faith.

Contrary to what some believe, identifying facts and stating reality is not unbelief.

Unbelief is yielding to that which contradicts God's promises and is contrary to his will,

allowing it to continue. Let's learn from Abraham, who understood his and Sarah's natural inability to conceive,

yet still became fully assured in his faith.

Romans 419 and 20 says, without becoming weak in faith, he contemplated his own body.

Now, as good as dead since he was about 100 years old and the deadness of Sarah's womb.

Yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in an unbelief,

but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully assured that what God had promised,

he was able also to perform.
