refresher on this weekend's U.S. Women's National Team action and all the other international soccer that happened this weekend from around the world sprinkled in.

To kick things off, we're doing things a little bit differently because the U.S. Women's National Team had two games against Iceland.

Listen in as I caught up with Meg Linahan about how those games went, who stood out,

and what we can take away from those fixtures.

All right, I am joined by my co-hosts and crime Meg Linnehan to discuss the U.S. women's national

teams, two performances, this international window of three.

These first two saw two three-to to one victories over Iceland in Austin and Nashville

this weekend. The first saw a first time somehow goal by Alyssa Thompson, Jaden Shaw, and

Sophia Smith. The second saw goals from Lynn Williams, Lindsay Horan, and a first time

and first cap for Emma Sears.

Meg, there was a lot more happening in this game than I personally thought coming into these

two fixtures. What are the biggest takeaways for you? I mean, I think everyone, it's been a while

since we've seen Iceland for the U.S. Women's National Team. So I do think, you know, the sense

that Iceland truly did pose legitimate

problems, right, and like kept themselves in these games, like two very good performances for

75 minutes back to back, right? The fact that the U.S. actually had to dig themselves out of a hole

for the first time in a very long time, really since I think she believes her,

you know, and going back to like Gold Cup, right? Like we have not seen that challenge and we haven't

seen it under Emma yet. So I think there are some really good positives to take out of these games,

but it's also just kind of like, we are very early in a cycle. This is very much a time of experimentation.

So they've been more interesting than I think we could have hoped for. Yes. But at the same time,
