Dan Quinn yesterday. He had to do something, certainly after Sunday's performance. One of the worst

on defense, I think we've all ever seen following this team. They looked like a MAC team,

you know, take your choice, Akron, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan.

Yeah, demoted Joe Witt, Jr. I know some of you wanted to scalp entirely.

You wanted somebody to get canned, but Quinn demoted him, and he's taking over the defensive coordinator responsibilities himself. I'm not sure what he can do with what he has, but he had to do something.

In which, believe it or not, and I know it's hard to believe, I did think there were a few positives, especially on offense. Not many.

You know, when you're in that kind of one-sided beat down, it's hard to really grab something

out of it that's positive because you're not really

sure of whether or not Detroit had just taken the foot off the pedal or they had other motivations

or they were putting in other players, who knows. But I thought that there were some positives

to take from the game. So I will share the few that I have.

But we will spend some time on defense, and I'm not sure you've heard a specific stat as it relates to Sunday's game.

Maybe you have. I was a bit out of it yesterday, but I will tell you something that I can't believe we haven't seen as some sort of record

breaking event from Sunday's game. I haven't found it. Maybe some of you have. That is coming

up. Dan Quinn, demoting Joe Witt Jr. may not be timely enough for some of you, but he did it. Again, I didn't need a firing. I needed a change, not because I know it was needed, but because of how I would have viewed Quinn if he hadn't made the change. I talked about this immediately following the game because I did a post

game podcast and I said, now's the moment. Quinn really doesn't have a choice because it's

all going to fall back on him now. Whether or not we knew or no for sure that Joe Witt

Jr. is the primary culprit of one of the worst defenses we've

seen in a long time. And that's saying something, because we've seen some bad defenses around

here over the last decade plus. This is the worst. This is the worst. And yes, there are injuries, and injuries are a reality,
