Jeff, I need to go to our account. It's pretty funny. It's getting outvoted on a lot of social sites.

But it's a stinging memo from a boss that he sent out to his staff, instructing them not to make friends with their colleagues during work hours.

What the heck?

I'll read it. I'll read it to you. Okay. It says attention, all employees and this next sentence is in caps and big red letters all underlined.

Work is not meant to be fun.

It goes on to say, this is your job. Do not dedicate work time to discussion of non-work topics.

Do not facilitate friendships during work hours, only exchange phone numbers and or hang out after work is complete.

Somebody's better that they didn't get invited to have the hour.

And now we can see why they didn't get it.

And then it says to contact him, if you ever catch a coworker having a non-work discussion on company time,

you should rat them out. They should just flood him with emails, like fake emails.
