Hour 1 We started with a great night of baseball for the locals, with the Yankees clinching a playoff spot and the Mets coming back to beat the Cubs. It felt like a special night for the Mets. Even though Russell Wilson had a great game against Dallas, he threw terrible interceptions last week. We heard the sounds of Howie Rose as the Mets came back to beat the Cubs as Brandon Nimmo had a 3-run game tying HR. Francisco Alvarez homered in the eighth which ended up being the game winner. In the final segment of the hour, WFAN producer Brian Rascona told Gio that Ken Griffey Jr was walking around the Ryder Cup and nobody seemed to notice him. Hour 2 Jaxson Dart is getting the start for the Giants this week. Nobody really talks about the pressure a quarterback faces in their first real NFL game. Boomer brings it up, but you don’t hear many other people talk about it. It’s different from the pre-season. Boomer likes Dart’s attitude compared to some of the other rookie QBs that came to the Jets and Giants.
