John, man, it's great to have you, buddy. Doing great, Mark. Great to be with you. Great to be on your great podcast, man.

It's a talking ball. Yeah, absolutely. You know, after 18 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, now is the New York giant head coach. Just walk me through it. What happened there? And why now in New York? Yeah, well, you know, a lot of things. A lot of amazing things happened over a long time and a lot of great moments, a lot of fights, a lot of life, you know, life was lived, relationships built, all the different things you go through. That was all it. And then that was that chapter and God chose to close that chapter and move us to the next one. And I'm just thrilled and excited, man.

So how did it happen? I just, I give it to God. God made it all happen the way he wanted to happen. There was a lot of story to it and a lot of great little things that happened. I'm just thrilled to be here. I mean, this is a great organization. Great city. Great bunch of guys. We always talk about resetting a culture and coming in and putting it together.

And here you are who you built an unbelievable culture in Baltimore all those years.

Now you're in the New York, you know, the community, the Giants in general.

So what is the what's the most important part about setting up your football team and creating a culture that you want to, that you want to have there as, as the head coach and the man in charge of the New York Giants?

No, no question.

Well, the culture is reflective of a couple of things.

One thing that should be reflective of if you want to call it the culture is the self-evident truth of the universe that apply to football. And those are things that we talk about all the time. How you got to work, how you got to play, what type of style that you had, just what football requires. Those things have got to be things that we excel at. And just the guys, so make sure the guys understand that. And you got to have the right guys. Because the guys really do build the culture. What the guys believe in, what they're about, the players are going to establish how you play. They're going to play the way they play. If you want a tough team, have tough players. You want a big team, fast team, strong team, have big, fast, strong players, you know. You want a committed, dedicated team, get committed, dedicated guys. guys. So that's what we've tried to do.

I believe the Giants have that.

I love the way they've been working.

So we're trying to build that and then have a shared understanding, Mark, about what we believe.

Let's come to an understanding through time, through experiences, day-to-day process.
