This morning, President Trump is calling on Republicans to change the rules in the Senate to reopen the government.

Trump posting overnight, it is now time for the Republicans to play their Trump card and go for what is called the nuclear option,

get rid of the filibuster, and get rid of it now.

The move would allow Republicans to pass a bill to fund the government with a simple majority instead of the 60 votes currently needed.

But Senate Majority Leader John Thune has warned against this move, saying it could come back to bite Republicans

whenever Democrats take power back.

What if Mondami becomes mayor?

It's going to be hard for me as the president to give a lot of money to New York.

Because if you have a communist running New York, all you're doing is wasting the money you're sending there.

So I don't know that he's one, and I'm not a fan of Cuomo one way or the other,

but if it's going to be between a bad Democrat and a communist, I'm going to pick the bad Democrat all the time, to be honest with you.

The frontrunner in the race to lead the nation's largest city, Democrats Zaron Mamdani,

cheered on marathon runners in Brooklyn and appeared with the governor at a bar in Queens.

The 34-year-old self-described Democratic Socialist resonates with voters eager for new leadership.

Mamdani's main rival, independent candidate, and former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, pitched his experience.
