I wanted to start off a talk and there's been some you know questions about the process and I wanted to go over the process of how we got here today

Last year when it became apparent that there would need to be a search for a new chancellor

Our board thought that the best approach would be to develop a profile

of what the various constituency constituency within the old miss family wanted the board

enlisted our former commissioner Glenboys for help in developing that profile he

spoke with many alumni faculty staff and students and gained input and then stepped

aside at that point the search was officially started.

I was named Chairman of the committee.

Firm was hired by the board.

The campus search advisory committee was informed,

which was 38, 39 people, of various backgrounds within the old miss family

in our initial meeting each member gave feedback about what they were looking for in our next chancellor

and with that information the board then completed the profile which was a 10-point profile

which has been publicly released and shared with all the candidates,

and also helped in our interview process to answer certain questions about each aspect of the profile.

At that point, it was the nomination process began, and anybody had any nominations for our position of the chancellor,

it was asked to be sent to Martin Baker, our church consultant. Our board charged Martin Baker to find the candidate to met our profile, whether it be someone who was interested or someone who may not normally be a candidate.

He was also instructed to reach out to anyone who was nominated

and given the instructions for completing our process. Dr. Glenn Boyce received more

nominations than that nominated process than anybody else. We began a national search and
