It was around 10 o'clock on a Friday night in Phoenix, Arizona, October 2015.

Johnna Anderson was driving home from the pharmacy when she saw red and blue lights

were flashing in the river mirror.

It took her a moment to realize the car the cop was pulling over was hers.

Oh, that's never a good feeling.

So she put on her blinker and pulled over.

But I said I'm going to remain calm and I'm just going to go through the process,

just explain see what needs to be done.

And hopefully I can go back home for blocks away.

As the officer walked up to her side of the car,

questions started running through her mind.

Was I speeding?

Did I miss a stop sign?

And when I rolled my window down,

probably about halfway,

I said, good evening, officer.

What did I do something wrong when I pulled out from the ATM?

And the first thing he says to me is, don't play dumb with me.

Just like that.

And it was at that point, one of the first points of that night that I realized
