So I've been up since 4.30 this morning just rewatching game tape to figure out what the hell just happened because for those of

you living under a rock and just did not see the sports course last night we finally had a situation where a number one seed lost to a number 16 in the N.T.

A tournament as Virginia not only was beaten, but was smoked by University of Maryland Baltimore County, 74 to 54.

Virginia, who was the overall number one seed in the NCAA tournament, Virginia who is the

number one defensive team in every defensive category, who had not allowed 70 points in a game to any team this season in a conference where they play against Duke in Carolina multiple times a year.

That same Virginia team just gave up 53 points in the second half when they average 53 points allowed per game.

That team just got smoked by a team that was 212 in offensive efficiency according to Ken Palm.

The Ken Palm statistic by Ken Palmer that measures every college basketball team.

To give you context it into this, Holy Cross, my alma mother, ranked 290th in offensive efficiency with its 19 losses on the year.

I mean in terms of teams I mean you would have never even suspected that you would have

you want to be see had this capability I mean again to it to the contest in terms of offensive efficiency, Denver, which was 15 and 15 in the summit conference, was 270 in offensive efficiency. This is just inexplicable. You know, if you're talking about

greatest upsets of all time, this is right up there with all of them not just college basketball because it's the greatest college

basketball upset of all time even greater than Virginia losing to Shaminot as the number one see just because of the field expansion but I mean you're talking about
