Honestly, this year had such a low bar to clear in terms of the selection committee after the

atrocities committed by last year's committee, uh, weaseling in North Carolina when they had no business being in the tournament,

that this was an incredibly low bar to clear. And they did clear it, albeit with some caveats.

One of the tradeoffs is the fact that it is beyond obvious. This committee formed its selections multiple days in advance of Sunday.
