Lots of scheduling hijinks the Braves and meds have to play a double-headed today and the winner of one of these

games will have no intent to play the second game wherein we have a scenario where both the Braves, Mets, and D-backs could all end up with an

83 and 70, 89 and 73 record and the D backs would lose the tiebreakers on both sides to the Braves and Mets.

So essentially the Diamondbacks need someone to get swept today between the Braves and the Mets.

But because the Braves and the Mets, whoever wins game one, will have clench the post-season spot.

There is absolutely zero incentive to play your starters for game two.

So you're going to be left in a situation where you have bench players playing that second game of the double-headed. the to avoid a scenario like this because realistically you can't blame the Braves or Mets

for playing backups when in a wild card series they need every man available in a short three game series.

It doesn't make any sense.
