Hello and welcome to the show everyone going to talk quite a bit about the

NFL but we do have other news items to get to this morning. Unfortunately the news out of England is not good

as Liverpool Defender Virgil Van Dyke did have a serious knee injury from the Mercyside Derby game yesterday against

Evden. You know, for those of you who do not see the game,

basically, Evidence, a goalkeeper,

Jordan Pickford plow straight into the planted leg of Van Dyke as he's going in for a scoring opportunity.

You know, it's just a dangerous play.

It's plays that you shouldn't see happen on a soccer pitch.

Not only does nothing happen on the play because they call offside, but the referees completely misapply the rule.

Just because the play is offside doesn't negate the fact that a player conducted themselves were reckless play which that was.

So again it's a misunderstanding of the rulebook because the offside does not negate intent

nor does it give a leeway for players to kind of follow through on the play because they can say that, oh, we didn't hear it in time.
