Hello and welcome to another edition of the Fancy Throw Down podcast.

You know, try to sound chipper but you know it was a distressing morning based off the news

of Congressman John Lewis passing away overnight.

So woke up at 5 this morning trying to get ready for the show because I got a lot to talk about and the

simple fact that the matter is is that there's quite a bit of sports going on so

try to get everything sorted in order, but you know for those who you don't know the work

about John Lewis, you know, I strongly recommend that you take a look through the eventual obituaries that are going to be coming out in full force

detailing his involvement in civil rights over the years and just the amount of work that he did in Congress and how well

respected he is you know what the fact that the Voting Rights Act was

stricken down by well not stricken down I should say but basically neutered by the Supreme Court in 2013

citing that racism in large part was no longer an issue.

Remains a stain on the tireless work that he did,

but you know, I would like to believe that folks would recognize

in light of his death that his greatest accomplishment

would be acknowledged and re-examined further.

But enough, I'm not gonna go into significant

on the political side, but I am going to talk a little bit more because I alluded to it before about the fact the need of wearing masks and I'm going to keep saying it again because you know so you you know I see the
