Hello everybody. We just wrapped up game seven of the world series and it did not go the

way people had planned yes indeed the road team has won yet again in the World Series as the Washington Nationals

have won their very first World Series in dramatic fashion over the Houston Astros in a series that I don't know about you

CAM but I will again rail on baseball and the overuse of analytics because the Houston Astros managed to blow a

world series they were heavily favored in because they overthought multiple games when they didn't need to and it ended up

biting them in the ass because the Nationals pretty much stayed to the exact same game plan they wanted to utilize the entire way through

and despite having a vastly inferior lineup and I mean the pitching staffs, you know, you can say whatever you want about the starting pitching.

The starting pitching canceled each other out by and large, and even then the Astro still had a slight edge the problem is is that the

Astros bullpin was overused it was overused in the Yankee series it bit them of many ass in this series and Washington's bullpen

even though as crappy as it was during the year because Washington knew it couldn't

leverage its bullpen all that much, they really didn't use too many guys that they knew can throw strikes.

So the few guys that did end up pitching, and Patrickbren was a great example of this while he got

lit up it's not as though Washington said you can't pitch for a while they just threw

him out there whenever it made sense and hope for the best.

And luckily it panned out, but Houston kept using their relievers in so many higher leverage

situations, it ended up burning them because, as I've said,

time in and time out analytics in a large sample size over the course of regular season, yeah, it's great.
