Summary

As #KawhiWatch extends into the holiday we are still no closer to finding out where the balance of power will be in the upcoming NBA season. I give my thoughts on the situation and how little we truly know about Kawhi if some of these rumors about his meetings with the Lakers, Clippers, and Raptors are true. Also in today's show somehow the Knicks found yet another way into the current news cycle with a new story that epitomizes the ineptitude of the organization (shocker I know). Hello and happy Fourthth of Kauai to everyone. Obviously I'm joking it's the 4th of July

But honestly, you know, I got a number of responses and true to form what I expected from

0:47.0

Nix fan saying that I'm way too critical of the team but sure enough, I get validated once again with more stories of the craziness that has gone on in the past few days of NBA Free Agency as the story leaks out again that the Knicks

could have had a sit-down meeting with Kauai Leonard but wanted to prioritize signing notable

free agents like Wayne Ellington, Reggie Bullock and Bobby Portis.

You know, I laugh because realistically it's the only way to cope with the pain of being a Nix fan.

You have an organization that would rather settle for less than actually try and get told no to their face because their ego is so fragile and I

1:50.8

don't mean the executive as being Scott Perry and Steve Mills.

1:55.0

I'm talking about James Dolan himself.

1:58.0

He doesn't want to be told no by these NBA free agents. So instead of just taking the meeting like a responsible

2:07.8

NBA franchise, teams would kill for the opportunity to have an interview with Kauai Leonard, an

2:16.0

NBA free agent that wants to weigh all the options. Is it a long shot that you get

2:21.0

Kauai? Most likely compared to the Lakers who have

2:26.0

LeBron James and Anthony Davis together. You got Toronto whom Kauai just won the NBA title with and you have the clippers who have a well-balanced

2:39.4

roster, a bunch of draft picks and are up and coming and also live in a play in LA where

2:46.5

Kauai is from and would be a homecoming for him. These are all factors.

2:54.0

So yes, do the Knicks have a long shot of getting qua?

3:00.0

Absolutely.
