If you saw this guy behind the bench scribbling down notes on TV Wednesday night like I did watching for my house.

He wasn't feeding pieces of paper to Luke Loutx like he used to do with Leonard Hamilton back in the day.

He was taking down these notes for this show for Courtside with Coach J.Ride.

as well for Florida State and the MCC men's basketball tournament. The Knowles got the second

round win Wednesday night against Cal and a game that they were up by 20-something points because

that's just what this Florida State team does. They end up winning by six, but really a comfortable

win, really impressive performance. And now they get a huge showdown on Thursday night. We're going to talk about all that. We're going to talk about the win. We're going to talk about the Duke game. And just the experience in Charlotte. How are you doing, Jacob? How are things up there? Hey, man, I'm good. The best I can do for my prop tonight is my media pass. I'm in the wellness room, which is right across the hallway from the locker room here for the Bobcats. Because the ACC's kind of taken over the rest of the building, I had to pull a couple strings and found me a location, a little privacy back here. So I don't have any private meetings, but I got a private meeting with you guys right here in Irish show fail. Who else more could I ask for?

Well, listen, man, if they had blown that 20-point lead in the last five or six minutes,

we might have all needed to lay down in that wellness room.

I would need this wellness room right now. I said, come on.

So FSU plays Cal, it's the number eight, number nine game in the tournament. Cal was a team that probably will call them a bubble team. They were, I think, on the next four out. They probably would have to make a little bit of a run here at the ACC tournament to get into the NCAA tournament, but that ain't happening. After a little bit of a slow start, Florida State looked

like, I'll be honest with you, after the first three or four minutes, I texted a friend, I was like,

they may shoot 45 threes tonight and miss 40 of them because they did not, did not look comfortable

at all offensively. And then what happened, man? Like, what happened?

They just completely just took over that game.

Yeah, you know, it was crazy, man, because, you know, like, Cal's penetration was

killing Florida State and they were giving things up, you know?

I'm just looking back at my notes, you know, and it's just like nothing good was going

on.
