Welcome into the Warpath, your weekly official visit to everything Florida State Football Recruiting. My name is Nick Carlisle. That is my good friend, Matt Lassar, rolling on Big River to the second weekend of official visitors. A bigger weekend than the last. At least we could say that, Matt. That's a nice silver lining. It's bigger than the last, and hopefully there's the potential for some commitments coming this weekend.

0:21.3

First and foremost, how are you doing, buddy?

0:23.3

How are things going?

0:24.9

I'll do good.

0:25.7

Yeah, this week was still kind of a slow week because camps don't really start up for

0:29.7

another until next week.

0:31.3

So it's like kind of been slow until it's visit, then camps will start up next week.

0:38.5

And we'll really, really get rolling on June, Nick.

0:41.4

Nick, you'll get to go out to a camp. Nick will go out to big man camp next week. I'm excited. Why are you sending the big man to the big man camp? Are you trying to tell me something? I actually, no, I actually like, people hate seven on seven, but I think seminar seven is like the easiest one because it's like interviewing kids are so much easier at seven on seven just because like you just find them at a gap between games or you go over here, whatever.

1:03.8

Like it.

1:04.3

Yeah.

1:04.8

I think interviewing and being at seven on seven is a better experience to get content.

1:08.7

I'm like, oh, I can walk over here and get a video and oh, I actually know what team they're on. So it's so much easier to identify what player that is, too. So for those who don't know, there's typically a seven-on-seven, actually multiple. I think there's two during the course of the summer. There's two. Over at the summer rec, I don't even know if it's called the summer rec facility. It's called the new I.M. Fields. Oh, the new I.M. Fields. There you two. Over at the summer rec. I don't even know if it's called the summer rec facility.

1:28.5

It's called the new IM fields. Oh, the new I.M fields. There you go. It's a bit of ways away from campus. But that's where the seven on seven takes place multiple times a summer. Then they come back and, you know, perform like a finals of some sort in the IPF. And it's good because you get to see a lot of different schools with a lot of different young talent.

1:46.0

It's good for networking in that sense as recruiting guys. You get to see kind of who's up and coming who Florida State may be interested in. And you do know, like there are some guys that do comes to these camps and you'll see some of the coaches there and you'll see their eyes light up. I know it's all on air. I know it's shorts, pants, shorts, t-shirts, and helmets, but it's still, it's a really interesting watch for those if you've never seen any seven-on-seven. So that is going to be happening at least sometime in the next coming week. One year, Jimbo showed up and just sat in a Yeah, I remember that. I remember that. And I remember coming up to you.

2:17.8

I think I just saw Jimbo sitting up and just sat in a long-chair and watched. Yeah, I remember that. I remember that. And I remember coming up to you. I think I just saw Jimbo sitting in a long chair over on field seven or whatever it was. And sure enough, pull up the little binoculars and go, oh, yeah, you know, that is him. That is him. It's a really fun time to be a recruiting guy around Tallahassee. Speaking of camps, speaking of seven on seven and such, elite camp was this past weekend.

2:38.2

Not as big as a traditional elite camp, I feel like there weren't as many big-name guys as in past years,

2:43.7

but there was one major development for in terms of the 2027 class,

2:48.4

and that is four-star wide receiver Ethan Kimmy, who had not been on campus,

2:52.4

at least until that point. Am I remembering that correctly, Matt? He had not been on campus. Yeah. And this is a very, it's a very late bloomer recruitment. Sorry, Nick will have to put his profile in post because I forgot to put that one. And that was the one. I put 10 profile pictures on the B-roll stuff, and that was the only one I forgot.

3:07.8

But it's, yeah, it's a, I guess a late bloomer recruitment. His first one, he was at university lab, which is the same school that a bunch of kids from Baton Rouge go to. I believe it's like Florida high to LSU, right? They're the Cubs. So I think it's like a Tiger Cubs kind of thing. But he is transferred to Zachary, Zachary, Louisiana. And he's got a couple of schools on his board. The ones that he's mentioned to me were LSU in Kentucky. It doesn't look like he had an LSU offer. Now again, we say this for any Baton Rouge kid, any Louisiana kid that, you know, when LSU offers, that's going to be a big deal. And it's probably one here where they know if LSU were to offer, I bet you he'd commit right away. And that's probably why they haven't offered. But again, that's no intel or whatever. That's just based off of, yeah, intuition. But I think Florida State did a good job here. I think it makes it interesting, him being on campus when Antoine Lockett was on campus,

3:57.7

because maybe it's a third wide receiver in the class if you can get Sean Green and Cam Wade. But I liked, you know, I, Kim even bring a lot of balls down, which I know that's like the most important part about being a receiver. I don't think there was many, like, I think it was tough. I don't think a lot of the throws were good uh he wasn't getting like he
