Hey guys, Bud Elliott. Welcome in to the Noel Cast. Today we're going to do our continuation

0:06.2

of the season preview series and we will be discussing the offensive line. This is the

0:10.8

last position preview series that we have to do and we'll be putting this up I think

0:14.9

probably on Tuesday afternoon, maybe Wednesday morning depending on when you hear this.

0:21.4

First I want to start out by thinking our sponsors, Louisiana Hot Sauce, Tarpen Sellers,

0:26.1

legendary team, Chad and Shannon, a 4-4 FSU loan, congruity HR solutions and of course

0:32.2

Charlie Park by Madison Social, also support Rising Spear as the effort to make FSU's

0:38.0

team more NIL compensated and help recruiting. Alright, let's get into this. So 2021 was

0:45.9

expected to be a step forward in the offensive line and I think you can argue that there

0:52.2

in terms of the run game. He also is a guy that holds onto the ball a lot so maybe that

1:23.1

made him look a little bit worse in the past game but then you could tell you could also

1:27.2

counter that by saying hey bud, his escape ability helps these guys to look better in the

1:32.8

past game. I don't know, we'll see about that. It's interesting. So here's some numbers

1:38.4

from last year that illustrate just how far this group still has to go. They were 130th

1:44.0

in power success rate. They were 82nd in havoc rate allowed. They were 84th in pressure

1:50.2

rate allowed and 121st in passing down sack rate allowed. That's not good. And yet Alex

1:59.8

Sackens gets a lot of praise for what he has done with this group, the offensive line

2:02.8

coach and now the OC and as consistently mentioned, as somebody who's going to be a head coach
