Have some remarks centered around Willie Taggart's booster tours and some of the comments that he's had about schedule certain units that get a decent amount of focus from people and then circle back to some of the listener questions that we just didn't have a chance to answer in our previous solo podcast.

So I think I speak for all the listeners when excited to welcome you back and Noelcast is better when done by two. So happy to have you back here, bud and we'll jump into it.

I very much appreciate you doing the solo pod. I was not expecting to have that happen when I did, but you know, blessed that I know how the healthy son and wife is doing well.

I thought you did a really nice job. By the way, one guy gave us some feedback that you said too much during a show and I will just tell you that a it is very hard to do a monologue podcast.

B it is very hard to do a monologue podcast when you don't know that you are doing a monologue podcast and if you have to take someone else's notes, which are I think a group can attest here sometimes extremely short hand that are basically just prompts for me.

Then yeah, that can be difficult. So I thought you did a great job and I'm glad to be back. Yeah, no, I appreciate it. I also thought that guys feedback was was accurate and legitimate, but it's time to time to jump into a more normal normal Noelcast and congratulate you and Maggie.

So credit to them and always want to give them thanks. No doubt. So let's jump into baseball here. That was pretty cool. I had a lot of time on the couch last couple of days and got to watch a lot of

floor state baseball. I got to watch it with with with my dad and three generations of noels. I guess we'll see where my son goes, but I've got a feeling how cool is that man they just came out they played loose they they they hit the snottable and they pitched well.

It's tough to describe just how how thoroughly they dominated Georgia, which was a national see their fourth I think national see that's that that's that's a but looking right there and they went out and they did it carry on top was they had a walk on a club player

or just a lot of boss just home run home run Derby out there with a club player is phenomenal. So it was a great great weekend for for floor state baseball and certainly the type of weekend that you would hope Martin would be able to sample one more time on his way out and who knows maybe there's

something special in stores the team travels to to baton and Rouge, you know baton Rouge, but it was it was just great to see it was a great scene them get that win over FAU and kind of find a little bit of confidence. I completely grew view of the dugout appeared to be looser and more comfortable than really at any other time that I can remember certainly this year and certainly in post season play. I think there is a lot of the lid to do the talk that maybe this team benefited from the fact that

they weren't playing in Tallahassee they were able to go somewhere else and they were able to go somewhere else that had a little bit of a collective weight on their shoulders that George baseball program spend under some kind of strange voodoo for the past 10 or 15 years and had a little bit of success last year with no post season of real success to show and it looked like some of the pressure and just the things that people of at times talked about how outside the outside the diamond

issues as far as expectations can start to weigh on a baseball team particularly sometimes a college team when they're playing at home and that's the issue that Florida State sometimes been the victim of and for at least one weekend it looked like that was something that might actually been beneficial to no doubt also want to give credit here to Kurt Wiler former time lock nation guy now with the Tallahassee Democrat 14 of issues 35 runs in the regional or knocked in on the first or second pitch of an action.

I think it's a badly dated narrative to be honest and it's one that I used to push maybe 10 years ago but since then they've done a better job adjusting to that clearly they identified something that they wanted early in counts and went out and and and got it and took aggressive action and I think that's a good thing to do.

I mean they even had some foul balls that were stung early in counts that they were on those and in some ways that might have taken Georgia by surprise in the first game so excellent job there of of coaching and identifying when they wanted to attack that that's something we don't talk a whole lot about on the no cast because it'll really give them a whole lot of baseball talk but playoff baseball does seem to to garner more interest obviously and then on playoff baseball pretty cool to see there that for say would not did it.

Also very cool that they have maybe a little more pitching depth now than we thought I'm not necessarily sure that this team is built to grind out wins to come from the losers bracket especially not to to go down you know to LSU if you lose the first one it's going to be tough to claw back.

It's true for any team in a format like that but perhaps more for this FSU team.

I'm excited to watch and play it's going to cause a little bit of strife in my household because last year or two years ago when did they play LSU was it last year I think it was two years ago okay to get there yeah I I had to wear that one for a while just just just just called a whole bunch of hell for it since my wife's no issue grad.

I need a little redemption here I'm going to watch all three games this weekend and it's going to be fun I think at this point you were you were the house money of house money teams in this tournament but your house money with upside.

You're not one of these one of these center all team that doesn't have talent this team has some talent for whatever reason it did not play to its talent level this year and under achieved its talent level I think by a pretty decent margin now that you have the walk on in the batting order they're hitting the ball they're turning over the line up a little bit better it's not crazy to think that they could give.
