States, they don't have a whole lot of lesser games. They just have games they need to

would say. Looking at it, 473 yards of total offense, just 221 for NIU. Those are going

to be high marks for NIU as far as yards allowed. And of course, because this show we'd

like to use a little bit smarter stats, you know, yards per play allowed by NIU 5.3. That

is the most NIU has allowed this year. And they've played legitimate teams like Iowa and

Utah. We often talk about when a game was won, when a game was lost. In this game, it was

really won in the first quarter. If you look at that, that's when Florida State established

just 14 to nothing edge. In the game, they came out, they started fast. That's something

they had not done all year. First drive, 13 plays, 75 yards. Next drive, eight plays,

70 yards. In the apologies if you're hearing the background, it is storming here a little

bit. That's big right there. I mean, that is huge for Florida State to be able to go out

there and get a lead, especially against a team like Northern Illinois, which itself really

wants to run the football. It's not a very good passing team, you know. They wanted to

play a close tight game. And yet in Northern Illinois, they very rarely had this game within

a single score. You know, it was almost always forced, they'd up two scores, forced, they

have three scores. That's just how it worked for. They go out, they look really good, throw
