Ladies and gentlemen, right here behind me is Mr. Frederick Yane.

He is an unlikely talent from an unlikely place.

Fred is from Normandy in France.

And on behalf of everyone in the United States,

you're welcome.

Made his way to Paris and then he just took on music.

Fred is a musical anomaly.

He plays an instrument that I didn't even really know I liked.

Until I heard him and one other person play, every two other people play it.

But I'm going to say he's amongst the best I've ever heard

play it. Fred if you would just give them a little sample of how he

became Prince. All right.

When Fred and I first met, he was my guest at the Grammys

and saw Stevie one in the hallway.

I didn't know Stevie that well at the time and Fred ran up.

He said, oh my good, did he Stevie win there?

And he ran up and he started playing for Stevie. I was very embarrassed but then but then
