If you got a Bible with you this morning, how about turning with me to John the 15th chapter,

please, John 15 and the first verse.

John 15.

Jesus is speaking, and he said, I am the true vine, and my father is the husbandman.

The father is the vine dresser, tender.

Every branch in me that bears not fruit, he takes away.

And every branch that bears fruit, he purges it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Now, one thing that's impressed on me from the beginning of this series that I believe

the Lord has directed us to minister is that he expects us to produce, doesn't he?

This has not been conveyed properly to the church at large.

The message has come across, you know, you need to get saved.

You need to get saved.

Okay, we got saved.

All right, well, you know, come to church when you can't.

And that's about it.

But I'm telling you, that's not the Lord.

Every branch in him, he expects something out of.

Yeah.

Why?

Because he knows what you and I are capable of.

You might fool somebody else, but he knows, doesn't he?

And if you're not doing what you can, what you know, then he's not satisfied with that.
