Welcome to the Prayers of Rest podcast. I'm your host, Ashrida Chuchu, and this season we're

praying through the fruit of the spirit. Today is specifically focusing on love. And even though

this is a topic that might often come across as a checklist or lead us into a place of guilt

because we realize just how short we fall of being loving and joyful and peaceful and gentle,

I'm praying that this season will bring freedom and joy as we focus on how Jesus

lived out the fruit of the spirit and how he wants to do that work in us if we would just rest

and abide in him. So as we begin, find a quiet place where you won't be interrupted and take a deep breath

I'm Today's reading is John 15 verse 12.

My command is this, love each other as I have loved you.

Let's begin by reciting God's goodness, praising Him for who he is and what he has done in our lives.

Oh Lord God, how great is your love. Thank you that in my own life you have sought me and loved me

and called me to yourself. What great love you've extended that I would be called a child of God,

that we would be part of your family. Thank you for being

everything I could never be on my own. And thank you that because of your great love, you were faithful

to the cross

so that I might be part of the family of God
