Jacob Goldstein, you know Jacob, he's awesome. He used to be with planet money. He's not anymore.

He has been on slate money a few times he's written a

great book all about money but the reason why he's here in this issue is he has a

brand new podcast of his own that he's put together

with our friends over at Pushkin.

It's called what's your problem and what he's doing is he's looking at big

problems right like buying houses on the internet

or building self-driving cars, or taking

a drone delivery business in Rwanda

and making it work in North Carolina.

So big problems,

Jacob chats with Ramon Van Meer.

He has a company called Alpha Pore, which makes dog ramps for Daxons, you know, so they can walk up the ramp to get to the couch.

He bought Alpha Pore, he didn't start it, he bought it for about $300,000. He managed to sell over 30 million dollars worth of these ramps, but then the pandemic happened and the supply chain basically disappeared.
