I'm Jared Halper. Control of the 50-50 Senate hinges on a handful of contests

next year.

And four of those are considered true toss-ups by all of the, it's unanimous among all the political pundits and

prognosticators and don't forget about the governor's races. They're sort of

looking to expand the map Virginia kind of gives them hope that they can do that.

This is the Fox News rundown from Washington. There have been more than a dozen tie-breaking votes cast in the Senate this year by Vice President

Kamala Harris, not an unexpected use of the VP's time in a 50-50 divided Senate.

But that could change after next year's elections with 34

Senate seats up for a vote. Several will have no incumbent due to retirements.

Others could swing from one party to another, so the vice president may not be making quite as many trips to the capital come January 2023.

And as usual, not all 34 contests are expected to be particularly competitive.

States like Hawaii, Utah, Maryland, and California are not on anybody's list of swing states.

But several are, and that list could grow.
