Stems from the fact that we never as a country have really articulated a goal for what

we're trying to achieve with all of the public health measures in place.

And Senate Republicans signal optimism about this year's midterms.

There's a decent chance that they'll be serving in the majority as opposed to the minority right now.

This is the and the highly transmissible omicron variant will find just about everyone.

Now is the warning this week from Dr Anthony Fauchy, the president's chief medical advisor,

and the most public facing official of the pandemic.

He was back on Capitol Hill this week, along with other

top administration health officials like CDC director Dr. Rochelle Wollinsky,

defending actions taken by the administration as Republicans and Democrats alike complained of a shortage of

test and changing guidance that threatens to undermine trust in the public health agencies.

So this week I wanted to hone in on those two issues. First, the testing. With cases of

Omicron still surging, demand is high for tests as Americans try to manage infection

with a return to work or school or even just going to the grocery store.
