Last month, the Supreme Court lifted an order by the Court of Appeals saying that border patrol agents cannot interfere with razor wire Texas installed along the border, except in medical emergencies. Because thousands of migrants enter the United States every day, the Lieutenant Governor of Texas, Dan Patrick, said that the state would not stop putting up razor wire. Governor Greg Abbott calls the crisis an invasion, accusing the federal government of failing to protect his state.
