This is the Fox News rundown from Washington.

Where were you when Congress made good on an infrastructure week pledge.

Chad Pergram, our Fox News Capitol Hill correspondent and I were here.

In said the U.S. Capitol, it was around 1130 Friday night when the House approved a long stalled infrastructure bill, a $1 trillion

investment in roads, bridges, broadband, and more. A key pillar of President Biden's

domestic agenda had stalled here in the House since August.

Then, late Friday night, it came together.

So Chad, what broke the gridlock?

Well, basically you needed to get an agreement between moderate Democrats and liberal Democrats.

Remember they wanted the social spending plan the liberals did to ride together with the infrastructure bill.

You know, they wanted these two things married together.

And that was just not going to happen.

I mean, frankly, you know, because you had moderates holding out saying, well, we're not

going to vote on that bill until we get a

score and evaluation from the Congressional Budget Office so somebody had to

blink here and frankly it was the progressives a little bit because they did not
