Not long ago, I read about a fast-growing profession as church critics.

No, no, I don't mean critical people in the church.

I don't mean that at all. I mean a profession, paid profession.

Just like there is a book critic and a restaurant critic and a movie critic.

Now there is a church critic as a profession.

The very first paid church critic in the United States was a man by the name of the Reverend

In fact, his reviews were being broadcast to some radio stations in Pittsburgh and several other cities.

Now, while this is really a novice idea for the 21st century, but it's as old as the Bible. From the very beginning

of time, there are people who wanted a God who suits them. They wanted a God who matches

their preconceived ideas of Him. They want a God who likes what they like and believes what they believe.

They wanted a God who operates on the basis of their feelings and functions like a bellhop.
