You have very likely seen Sandra Smith on television if I have my chronology correct. She started as a host

on outnumbered and then was a host of America's newsroom and now she's a host of

America reports. That's what she does but why does she do it? And how did she get where she is? That is the part that I find most interesting.

I want to start with something kind of weird which is you ran track in cross country in high school and I think in college right? Yes

Well, hopefully they were chasing me because that would mean I was in the lead. You know what? It started out really young age. My dad was a busy man. He was a floor trader in the on the in the commodities trading pits in Chicago back in the day. I was the youngest of six kids. There was a lot of competition

around my household to get to get face time with your parents and my dad was a

marathon runner. He was a cyclist and he really stayed in shape while he was had really busy work hours and he worked downtown Chicago.
