The nail-biting drama as to whether the Department of Justice would accept Congresses and treaty

to indict Steve Bannon for blowing off the subpoenas of the January 6th Select Committee

came to a sudden conclusion at Weeks End with the news that a grand jury in the District

of Columbia returned a two-count indictment against Trump's former Sven Galley for

willful non-compliance for testimony and documents.

Bannon and a series of witnesses who have as much as dared Congress in the Department

to make them obey the law are now faced to face with the prospect of a criminal conviction.

And while that might not induce the firebrand Bannon who already operates on the outskirts

of society to respect Congress's authority, it could be a huge hammer against the likes

of Mark Meadows and Peter Clark.

The indictment served as half of a formidable one-two punch with the opinion from the DC District

Court.
