| 0:48.9 | it started out as like a Black History Week and then slowly but surely became Black History Month. |

| 1:00.7 | And since I've started doing themes, both on the social media and on the podcast, I thought, |

| 1:07.9 | Let's just do a Black History Month and we'll do it, like as we were doing things before. We'll start off with the transatlantic slave trade and just |
| 1:15.5 | try and go as chronologically forward as we can. Like we'll just try, you know. And I thought that |
| 1:22.2 | would be like a really good, a really good way to teach and share this information because it's not something that's taught |
| 1:29.4 | in every single history class. Like I was just lucky that this was part of my education. |
| 1:35.5 | And also because I'm a hungry, hungry hippo when it comes to history. I'm a flozy for facts, |
| 1:42.3 | let me tell you. They don't call me the history hallad for nothing. |
| 1:47.0 | And the thing about history is, like as a general rule, is that it's quite depressing. |
| 1:52.0 | Bad things keep happening consecutively, one after another, in a row. |
| 1:58.0 | And that's the stuff that people write down. |
| 2:00.0 | So when I do get the chance to talk about |
| 2:02.3 | someone amazing and wonderful and brilliant, like I grasp that with two hands, especially when you |
| 2:11.5 | have to talk about just the horrible injustices that people had to go through consistently. |
| 2:18.5 | And I've been talking about some bad stuff over the last week in a bit so far. |
| 2:24.6 | And I think, let's have a palate cleanser and talk about someone fucking fantastic. |
