And this week, as I was scrolling through my Facebook memories, I saw that we adopted my dog

nine years ago this week.

And I think this is true of every pet lover, but you can't escape the dread that

creeps into your mind when you think about your

furry friend crossing into a different part of life before you. But for most of us, our dogs do

go on before we do, and they just wait for us to join them. I recently saw a TikTok video that

said dogs are the only living creatures that love their humans more than they love

themselves. Dogs are sacrificing. We've all seen movies where a dog saves its person's life
