Or rather, this is the garden outside my library and I'm relaxing in the sunshine with my daughter, Emma Walton Hamilton.

Hello! The flowers are blooming, the summer breeze is tickling our noses, and the birds are singing.

Yes, I love bird songs and watching birds fly. I wish I could fly like that.

Oh, me too. Or, you know, sometimes I wish I could swim underwater like a fish and never have to come up for air.

Imagine how fun that would be. Well, you could dive so deep and swim so far.

Oh, look, Mom, a bee! I wouldn't mind being able to make honey too.

Well, that would be a sweet talent to have. Really would.

Today's book is about a child who can take on the special abilities of all sorts of animals.

Sometimes this child grows wings to fly with the birds and sometimes they grow scales to swim like a fish,

which makes me wonder what animal abilities would you like to have listeners?

I would like to hide like a Jackson Cammillian because that's what I was named after.

My special animal ability would be that I could swim like a dolphin so you could explore more things underwater.

I wish I had sticky fingers like a gecko so that I could climb up trees.

I'd like to have wings so I could fly over everyone and see people putting their cats and bats.

Marvelous. I'd like to see illustrations of everything you just described.
