I'm Brandon Schultz, and this is from the podium.

With no game this weekend, the biggest excitement of the week was the announcement of who would be making the 53-man roster.

Let's start with reactions from some of the new members of the roster, including that of

wide receiver, Dorek Young.

I was excited, happy that they decided to keep me here.

This is where I want to be, and ready to get to it.

And now defensive lineman Miles Adams.

That was unbelievable.

Didn't feel real yesterday, but it feels real today.

And it's a blessing.

Honestly, it's a blessing.

Next up, a fellow undrafted free agent in safety, Joey Blunt.

Definitely overwhelming, you know, working for this since I was about five, six years old,

taking the route that I took to get here.

I took a moment just reflection, just being proud. I'm putting in the work, you know, coming in undrafted,

no combine, no senior bowl, just really, you know, betting on myself and understanding the message that the coaches put out here.

You know, it doesn't matter where you came from or how you got here. But if you can help the team in any way, we want you here. So I bought into that message and just let my work speak for itself. Here were Pete Carroll's comments on Blunt and what helped him make the team. Joey had a great camp. He just had a great camp. And he made plays and special teams, which was really where it started. I mean, it's a classic illustration of a guy,

you know, making some noise on teams. And so we look at him, you know, to see, can he also

support and help us in a position? And he did a really good job at that as well. But I give him,

it to him with special teams that really won him his spot. Carol spoke about the Seahawks nose for talented undrafted free agents, a group which Blunt falls into. Yeah, you know, what we've always, I mean, I've always looked for, you know, the makeup of the kid and the mentality of the kid, you know, and it doesn't really matter where you're drafted. If you've got it, Joey and Josh, those guys are great examples of guys that just, they just put their head down and competed their tails off. And they showed that, you know, that they've got the right kind of makeup to help your club. And whereas they might not have the numbers or they might not have the place they came from or wherever that you know that boosts their opportunity um these guys they fortunately for them they were both healthy and stayed out there and we're able to show us and they played a lot in the games too a lot of game time um so yeah really gregg i'm always I'm always looking for those guys.

And sometimes that makeup is more important than all the rest of it, you know.
