Hello and welcome to the Arrowhead Pride Podcast. We call from the podium where you get to hear

directly from your Kansas City Chiefs. My name is Pete Sweeney. I'm the editor-in-chief of

ArrowheadPride.com. Wednesday marked the Chiefs III OTA practice and the first opportunity for

media members to attend practice and speak to members of the Kansas City Chiefs. We spoke to

head coach Andy Reed, quarterback Patrick Mahomes, linebacker Nick Bolton, and new offensive

lineman Donovan Smith for the first time. So we'll start with Reed and Mahomes. We'll take a quick

break and we'll hear from Bolton and Smith. But first, your head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Here's Andy Reed. All right. Good to get into phase three. We've obviously been going here a

little bit with phase one and two. So it's good to get out and be able to go against each other

with the rules that are given. And I'm seeing the guys move around a little bit.

Compete. Anyways, with that time, Jerry. Coach, on the years, you've got to set way. You do things,

and the league has kind of changed a few things and adapting through COVID through some of your phases.

How do you think you've maybe changed anything you've done or adapted it to the way it's the world now?

Sure. Well, we end up doing phase one virtually. Not that the league, that's not what the rule is,

but I mean, just what the season been as long as it was. Give the guys a little bit more time.

And still be able to meet with them. Introduce some of the new things. Talk about Schemi Val.

And then they all came back for phase two. So, you know, now you're able to go through it versus

air. But we haven't, it's, it's okay. It's probably better for the offense than it is the defense.

Defense doesn't have an offense that they can go against out there. So you have coaches and

trainers and everybody else being the offense form. So it's a, you know, that's a little different.

Could you get excited about this? I heard some guys on the radio talking about whether you were

so motivated to want a coach for twenty more years or twenty more. That'd be, that'd be some.
