Why don't we start from the beginning?

grandmother was pretty famous she was in the entertainment business um kind of funny that you

were in the entertainment business yeah as well who was your grandmother uh her name is pat

you could tell and she um you know when she was 18 years old, she

married my grandfather, but before she, and he was older, and before she married him, she was a,

she was a star, you know, she was an actress and Doris Day was her understudy and my grandfather

decided he didn't want her to, you know, people to see her and people to watch her and see her flourish like that and made him jealous.

So she had to give up her role in whatever she was, you know, put in.

And Doris Day got the part.

Later on in life, Doris Day becomes very famous.

So sort of a run, not a running joke in my family, but sort of that, you know, her life was changed, you know,

and ruined sort of because she could never see her full talent, so to speak, because she decided

to get married and have a kid and all that kind of thing. But she had all sorts of famous friends.

They had a very famous nightclub called El Maraco in Manhattan, which if you

watch any like Barbara Streisand movie, you know, all these, El Morocco was very famous, had the

leopard walls and you see a lot of nightclub scenes of older movies that use El Morocco as their

backdrop. Oh, that's cool.

Yeah, so I have a history with that.

Did that influence your life in any way, her experience and not being able to achieve her dreams?

I mean, that's a really good question.

I think maybe subconsciously it did.
