Hey Film Spotters, Josh and Adam here. There are a couple of great music movies that are celebrating

anniversaries this month. Damien Chiselle's Whiplash, that turns 10 and it's back in theaters

this weekend. Milosh Formman's Amadeus is 40.

A physical release of the new 4K restoration that premiered earlier this year

is in the works, but no date has been announced. These aren't just music movies

but they have a few other things in common Adam. Sure. I think we can say there's a bit of

musical obsession. We definitely have rivalries, complicated mentor student or peer relationships.

And I haven't looked yet, Josh, to see if Amadeus is playing in a theater anywhere near me, but if it is, the chance to see what truly is one of my favorite movies, a film that I wasn't enlightened enough. I was far too young back in 84 to think to go see it and I'm also pretty sure it didn't play in my little town on my one cinema screen.

I don't know that I had an opportunity but if I can watch this on the big screen, there's no way I'm going to miss Amadeus.

It's too good.
