1:17.6 | And I guess the main thing was that I'd be able to talk to someone from Beirina's family and that they would be happy with someone doing a long piece about the story. |
1:26.0 | Because I didn't want to go in and cause any more pain or any more intrusion. |
1:30.5 | It was a year later, but obviously the grief was still there. |
1:33.1 | And I didn't feel like I could tell the story without knowing a lot about Beirina. |

1:40.3 | And I was lucky I found her in Icelandic journalists who had reported on the story who put me in touch with Beirina's mother. |
1:49.4 | So when I got to Reykjavik, I met with Beirina's mother, Silla. |
1:53.4 | I went to her apartment and she had got a couple of Beirina's friends over as well. |
1:58.6 | And we just chatted for a couple of hours about Beirina's life and what she was like as a person, how funny she was, how about sort of life loving she was. |
2:09.3 | There wasn't about the crime itself. It was really just about her. |
