Rick Green here with David Barton and Tim Barton and guys, quite a weekend, some special

elections in Texas that made the headlines. Definitely need to talk about those. And then it looks like President Trump is closing the Kennedy Center for a couple of years for renovations and kind of revamping things there. That's going to be pretty interesting. So some interesting announcements over the weekend. And then, of course, things still going on in Minneapolis. Probably get to that as well.

But what's at the top of y'all's list for this Monday morning?

Well, I think the one going on with Texas ought to be hit first with Sylvester Turner's old seat.

He passed away in office. And so it's been a seat open for about 10 months now.

They went through 16 Democrat

candidates in the primaries and so Democrats have won that and so the headlines are how how much

it shrinks the Republican majority that Mike Johnson has to work with and you know just kind of put

it all in perspective look that seat with Sylvester Turner has been Democrats since George Washington

or somewhere back in that vicinity. I mean, this has been a perpetual Democrat seat in Texas,

and they're counting it like national news, like it's a big turnover. And here's what really got

me. And I, you know, guys, I go back obviously several decades. And I remember when we had something called New Math.
