I'm very excited to be here in studio for this conversation and it is a topic that we knew from the beginning that we wanted to cover on this season where we're talking to all kinds of real people and their real financial situation.

Now we had initially set out to speak to someone who was formerly a teen mother.

That was a topic that was really heavily requested because, as I'm sure most of us probably

understand, even if we don't have personal experience with it, it's definitely something that

can completely upend not just someone's education and their family situation, but especially their finances.

We know how difficult it is for basically any mother to prioritize simultaneously her career and her earning potential along with raising her child.

But combine that with a mother who is still a child themselves, who hasn't finished their education, who hasn't even entered the workforce, and it can make for an incredibly difficult path

forward to becoming not just a high earner, but really any kind of salaried professional.

And it turns out that one of the women who reached out to us is not just someone who

definitely got their finances on track after having a child at the age of

17, but is now a financial coach and helps people from all backgrounds get a handle on their
