Summary

Tim Gray has been to hell and back in his healing journey – but after a whole lot of struggle, learning, and experimentation, he’s emerged as a pioneer and thought leader in the health optimization space (or optimisation, as they like to spell it on the other side of the pond).

Not unlike myself, Tim turned his unhealthy body into a human research project, or even a crime scene. He put on his detective hat (metaphorically), grabbed some push pins and string (literally), and started connecting everything that was wrong with him.

When he was done, he realized that it all came back to one thing: mercury.

Mercury could very well be the most toxic non-radioactive substance on the planet, but the way our society treats it honestly reminds me of how we treated smoking while I was growing up – very, very casually. I think a lot of people know mercury isn’t necessarily good for you, like people knew that smoking wasn’t good for them in the 70s, but we still don’t quite treat it like we should – like poison! We’re still stuck in the “smoking is okay on airplanes and in restaurants” stage.

Luckily, there are people like Tim Gray out there trying to change things. Because he didn’t just identify toxicity as the problem in his health. He also figured out how to get detoxify his body and cut it out of his life, along with a number of other unhealthy substances and habits.
