I had a specific moment where I was photographing this girl, and I don't know about you,

but I learned at my family's hunters, and I learned how to shoot a camera simultaneously with a gun.

And so there's a, there's a similarity of getting really slow, lowing your breath.

And I started shooting with film and long lenses and film and it's holding things steady and all that kind of stuff.

And I hold my breath when I shoot, which is a terrible habit, but it keeps the camera super steady

and I can keep it open, the aperture open, a little bit more. When I do this, I completely zone

out what is around me with the sense, with the sound, everything, and I just zone in on the optical, like the one-dimensional,

how is this going to look in a one-dimensional, not this experience that I'm having at this

playboy party, like right here without everything else, what is going to be seen here?

And I just saw a flash of trauma in this girl's eyes.
